ITALIAN RUNABOUT – Amati kit – The Build Log 1

This week we start to follow the build of one of our most famous model, the Italian Runabout.

This kit in 1/10 scale has been distributed as newsstand edition by Hachette, but it is also available as classic Amati kit, in the best off-line and on-line stores, and there are plenty of extras for it, like the Transmission kit to motorize it, the upholstery and windshield kit, or the base, as you can see here:

The kit includes:
laser-cut wooden hull
Double hardwood veneers
Seats assembled and upholstered in fake leather
Chromed brass windshield
Detailed interiors
Model can be motorised with two electric motors.
Suitable for radio control

The motorising kit (1608/02), sold separately, includes two electric motors with reducer gears, two shafts with bushes and oilers, two propellers, electronic speed regulator (forward and reverse), two rudders with fittings, instructions.
