This time, after the construction of the Amati Model Bleriot XI kit, we are delighted with this new stop motion video that illustrates in detail all the construction phases of this fantastic model.

The French Bleriot XI aircraft was the most representative monoplane of the pioneering era and became famous on 25 July 1909, when Louis Blériot successfully crossed the English Channel from Calais to Dover in 36 minutes and 30 seconds.

Designed by Louis Blériot and Raymond Saulnier, the Bleriot XI was a light and thin monoplane constructed of oak and poplar. The wing surfaces were covered with fabric. The 3-cylinder Anzani engine with 25 horsepower ensured constant operation, despite its simplicity. The sporting claims, the qualities of sturdiness, practicality and ease of piloting made it very widespread. In particular, on this type of aircraft, Captain Piazza carried out the first war actions in the history of flight, during the Libyan campaign between 1911 and 1912.
