Amati: The Italian Art of Modeling

Excellence, quality, durability, and detail: this is the Italian Art of Modeling

Amati is a historic Italian modeling company: founded in Turin in 1879, it is famous worldwide for the very high quality of its models, both naval and otherwise.

Amati models are designed to give pleasure: they are made to the highest modeling standards, to ensure the satisfaction of enthusiasts, longevity, and unparalleled attention to detail on the market.

To achieve these goals, Amati takes care of the making of its models entirely in-house: from the idea to historical research, from design to prototyping, concluding with photographs, assembly instructions, and accompanying texts, everything is done under the careful supervision of Amati experts to meet the demands of the most discerning collectors.

Amati: the best materials for the best models

The materials used by Amati are of the utmost quality, markedly different from any other competitor on the market.

These are refined raw materials, whose supply chain has been subject to continuous improvements over the decades with the aim of providing a premium product.

For its wooden models, Amati uses only wood from Finnish birch trees: this material is classified as "Avio", due to its original use - designed for the aeronautical industry.

Only the best birch trees can be used to produce "Avio" wood, allowing Amati models to offer 5mm plywood with 6 layers.

For metal parts, Amati predominantly uses brass. Ductile and malleable, it has good corrosion resistance, which translates into greater durability: even the small parts and accessories from Amati are designed to provide richness to the assembly kits and the modeler's experience.

Amati in the world: a global brand

Today, Amati still has its headquarters in Turin, where it is present with a 2,000 square meter warehouse storing all assembly kits and hundreds of thousands of small parts and accessories, meticulously catalogued for shipment within a few hours.

This allows modelers from all over the world to easily request accessories, upgrade kits, and the dispatch of any lost parts through our e-commerce.

Amati employs 10 staff, supplemented by various external collaborators including experts, designers, communication specialists, and influencers from around the world who appreciate Amati models and collaborate with the brand to share their passion with modelers on all five continents.

Amati is now present in various countries, with dozens of area distributors and hundreds of stores worldwide offering Amati products from Canada to Japan, from South Africa to Brazil. All this, without forgetting Europe, where Amati is present with a website developed in the five main languages.

In these markets, Amati offers its historical know-how in naval modeling, supplemented by models in metal, aircraft, trains, and kits from other internationally renowned brands, to cater to all levels and interests of modelers.
