This 1:72 scale model depicts the groundbreaking Horten Ho 229, the world’s first jet-powered flying wing fighter, developed in Germany during the final phase of World War II as part of the “Wunderwaffe” (Wonder Weapon) project.
Designed by Walter and Reimar Horten, it combined futuristic aerodynamics with jet propulsion, achieving a low radar signature decades ahead of its time.
Powered by twin Junkers Jumo 004B engines, the Ho 229 could reach speeds up to 960 km/h and was intended to carry four 30 mm MK 108 cannons.
The Academy kit features finely engraved panel lines, a detailed cockpit, accurate engine nozzles, realistic landing gear, and the aircraft’s distinctive swept-wing profile.
High-quality decals allow for authentic Luftwaffe-style camouflage, featuring late-war gray-green patterns and black crosses.
A unique and visionary model representing the dawn of stealth aviation and German jet innovation.
