Description

This 1:48 scale model represents the iconic Yakovlev Yak-1, the Soviet fighter that fought bravely in the Battle of Stalingrad (1942-1943), one of the fiercest air battles of World War II.

Developed for the VVS (Soviet Air Forces), the Yak-1 was the first all-metal monoplane designed by Alexander Yakovlev, praised for its excellent agility, climb rate, and combat durability.

The fuselage features engraved panel lines, a detailed Klimov M-105 engine, three-blade propeller, movable flaps, realistic landing gear, and a faithfully reproduced gun bay.

The cockpit includes complete instrumentation, an accurate pilot seat, reproduced seatbelts, optical gunsight, and a clear openable canopy.

Armament consists of a 20 mm ShVAK cannon firing through the propeller hub and two 12.7 mm UBS machine guns, plus optional drop tanks.

High-quality decals depict aircraft of the 8th Air Army during the Battle of Stalingrad, featuring red star insignia and authentic tactical numbering.

A model that combines technical realism, historical depth, and the indomitable spirit of the Soviet pilots defending Stalingrad.
